Benevilla Announces Changes to Two Programs

After much thought and consideration, Benevilla and its Board of Directors have made the decision to close the Chez Nous Center and Café and will consolidate the Sun City West Adult Day Program into five other locations effective October 7, 2011. 

Benevilla has spent the last 30 years striving to help people stay in their homes for as long as possible.  Over the last few years Benevilla, like all of us, has felt the impact of economic stress due to decreases in government funding and other resources. The organization has continued to provide high quality care and minimize costs but it has been a challenge.

According to President and CEO Michelle Dionisio, “This is a difficult decision, but we need to be mindful of the large community we serve.  With ninety cents of every dollar donated going directly to serving people in our community, it is vital that we be good stewards of our limited resources.”
