Benevilla Needs YOU! Southwest Valley Site Coordinator, Part-time (click for job description) Teacher: Provides care for young children (infants through pre-K) at Wirtzie’s Child Development Center. Requires A.A., or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or closely related field. Child Development Associates (CDA) certificate. Two years of experience working with young children in a group setting and a negative TB test. Day Center Nurse: Provides nursing care for participants in Benevilla adult day programs. Requires current Arizona R.N. license and two years experience working with seniors. Negative TB test also required. Day Center Care Partner: Provides person directed care that assists participants in daily living and activities in our adult day centers. Requires H.S. diploma or GED certification and three years of experience that could include working as a home care aide, assisting in a group home, and/or participating in day programming for adults. Successful completion of a home health aide or nursing assistant course may substitute for one year of experience. Must have proof of negative TB test (within the last 6 months) and Fingerprint card. Must possess, or be able to obtain, current CPR, AED, First Aid, and Food Handler"s Certificates. Care Partner – Helping Partners Program: Helping Partners Program is our dynamic center for developmentally disabled adults. Care Partners in this program will gain experience working with young adults with developmental disabilities and will assist with activities such as community outings. Qualifications are the same as for Day Center Care Partner, and an enthusiastic demeanor and the ability to work in a busy environment with multiple activities are strongly preferred for these positions. Bus Driver: Transports participants in our day programs to and from their homes and other locations on Benevilla vans/buses. Requires: A valid Arizona driver's license and, prior to hire, a clean MVR for past 5 years and updated annually. Must complete all required transportation training, CPR and first aid. Must meet all PHYSICAL DEMANDS of the position by obtaining medical certification on an annual basis. Experience driving buses/vans with elderly and disabled helpful. Must have proof of negative TB test (with in the last 6 months) and Fingerprint card. Must possess, or be able to obtain, current CPR, AED, First Aid, and food handler’s certificates. Kitchen Utility and Catering Aide: Through a unique grant opportunity, we seek seniors who are interested in learning and working in food service operations. Duties may range from coordinating and/or serving at catering events to prep work in our Birt’s Bistro kitchen. No prior experience is needed, but individuals will have to obtain a Food Handler Card.
