Benevilla’s Restorative Life Enrichment Program held a successful community art show on Friday, March 20, 2015.
The show featured works created by members of the Life Enrichment Program and also included musical entertainment, collaborative creative art projects, an art raffle, and light refreshments. Member art is still available for sale; all proceeds go to fund further art projects.
The Benevilla Life Enrichment Programs allow members to experience feelings of independence, belonging, and friendship as they join in activities that challenge them to stay physically, mentally, and socially active. The Restorative program focuses on members who are done with physical therapy, have had a recent fall, or who may want to regain or maintain their strength.
Members in Benevilla Life Enrichment Programs participate in a variety of the arts including music, dance, drama, painting, and crafts.
“Benevilla has expanded its offerings with the recent addition of our Creative Aging program,” said Joanne Thomson, vice president of program operations. “We know that art programs help people to become more socially engaged, enjoy better health, and find greater happiness. Our members have been very enthusiastic about the changes.”
Benevilla’s Restorative Life Enrichment Program is located behind St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church at 15800 N. Del Webb Boulevard in Sun City. If you are interested in taking a tour, please call 623-977-8274 or email email@example.com.
