Benevilla’s signature fundraising event, A Swingin’ Affair!, held on January 31 at Briarwood Country Club, was a huge success.
One hundred and sixty of Benevilla’s closest friends and donors came out for an evening of fine dining, dancing, and to support the important work Benevilla does for the community.
This year’s festivities included the purchase of keys for a chance to open a treasure chest filled with exciting gifts and prizes valued at nearly $2,500, and a Fund the Mission moment where guests had a chance to directly donate to support Benevilla and the people we serve. Long time Benevilla supporters Birt and Louisa Kellam ended up having the winning treasure chest key.
Music for the event was provided by the Dan Reed Quartet, the AZ Swing Kings Orchestra, and Vito Maynes.
Benevilla raised over $21,000 during the course of the evening, and over $46,000 for the entire event.
Benevilla was honored to have Kathy Linton serve as the A Swingin’ Affair! event committee chair. Her inspired leadership, ideas and enthusiasm helped to make this a truly memorable event. In addition, Benevilla would like to thank Adam Carlat, Tammy LeMoine, Patrick McDermott, Colleen McKemie, and Dick Stuckey for giving so generously of their time and talents as the A Swingin’ Affair! event committee.
It was a magical evening, and Benevilla couldn’t have done it without our dedicated staff and volunteers. Volunteers are an instrumental part of the any event’s success, and this evening was no different. To those of you who volunteered and gave of your time, thank you.
