November 2011

Dear Circle of Caring Friends,

The heat lasted longer than we liked, but we are finally nearing the Holiday Season and the beautiful weather that comes with it.  Life is good!

The three garage sales were a BIG success.  Thanks to all of you who so kindly donated your items and to those many people who shopped so generously.  It is our hope we were able to spread awareness of the many wonderful things Benevilla, their employees and volunteers accomplish in serving the needs of our communities.

We are still looking forward to receiving more recipes.  We are nearing 300 received; but, we need to get to 500 in order to obtain the best price for printing our cookbooks.  If you haven’t sent your recipes to us as yet, please do so before December 15.  If we receive a total of 500 recipes, the cookbooks are scheduled to go on sale in early 2012.  Watch for the announcement.

Our preparations for the December 4 “A Candlelit Holiday Open House” are in full swing.   Invitations have been mailed and we look forward to receiving your RSVP no later than November 25.  This is the Holiday event you won’t want to miss.  Bring friends and join us.  We look forward to seeing you.

We have been receiving donations of gently used purses, scarves and jewelry for our January 10 “Accessories Bazaar” event to be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Desert Palms Presbyterian Church located at 135th Ave. and Stardust Blvd. in Sun City West.  As our first event of 2012, we think this will be a great way to begin the New Year.  Don’t forget to bring gold jewelry you no longer wear.  Rhonda Collett with Gold Rush at Home, LLC will be there to purchase it at current market value.  Invitations will be mailed in December.

We are looking for Circle of Caring Friends volunteers who would like to help us plan future events.  We would love to have your suggestions and look forward to hearing from you.  If you have friends or family members who would like to be a member of our Circle, please let us know.  We want to grow our membership so that we can continue to grow in our communities.

Remember all our proceeds go to Benevilla, so please volunteer on our events and join us often.
